Qualifications

 

Must have hand tools to carry out job assignments

Must possess the ability to drive various vehicles as required to perform assignments.

Must be self motivated and have a good attitude and attendance record.

Must be able to comprehend written and spoken instructions.

Must have a basic understanding of Ac and DC electrical.

 

Minimum of 4 years of CNC machine tool maintenance experience.

Must have working knowledge of the National Electrical Code.

Must have the ability to effectively troubleshoot and repair the CNC machinery and other electrically controlled equipment specific to the facility assigned.

Must be able to operate CNC controls for performing limited diagnostics and functional testing.

Must be able to interpret CNC circuit and logic ladder diagrams, CNC control parameter files and CNC control; diagnostic files.

Must be able to operate oscilloscope as instructed in equipment maintenance manuals.

Must have working knowledge of hydraulic systems and be able to interpret hydraulic system schematic diagrams.

Must have a working knowledge of solid state circuitry applicable to circuits where component level repairs are generally performed by local maintenance personnel.

Must have sufficient experience and knowledge to design, order components for and build simple electromechanical, electro-pneumatic and electro-hydraulic systems.

Must have a working knowledge of AC and DC motors and drives and closed and open loop AC and DC positioning systems.

Ability and willingness to lead and instruct lesser grade electricians while on job assignments.

 



Duties:

 

Install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain CNC machine tools as required.

Install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain electro-pneumatic, electro-hydraulic and electro-mechanical equipment.

Perform other repair and maintenance functions as dictated by job assignment and departmental workload.
