Job exists to control the cost of transportation through a highly leveraged and consistent process for all IR businesses, and specifically managing global Transportation Management System implementation and execution of Oracle’s Transportation Management System(TMS). The value of the position will be demonstrated in the achievement of implementing and managing the Global TMS for IR businesses, the further lowering of costs through cross business processes, and the introduction of technology and techniques that add efficiency to the overall process.

·Manage & Implement IR’s Oracle TMS with a global spend of $300M over 4 years to match the Oracle roll out.
·Management, mentoring, and coaching of a team of sixteen (16).
·Work with business units, IR IT, & third parties to implement best practices in transportation management.
·Develop load center management of all freight using a third party logistics solutions to manage IR freight spend.
·Develop systems solutions to implement a transportation management system within IR.

Collaboration with IR business units is a significant success factor for this position. This position must influence the behavior of other supply chain and operations leaders within the company. This position does not have direct responsibility for supply chain activities – which are managed and executed in the field

Problem solving requires strong quantitative analysis skills. Actual solution determination balances both quantitative and qualitative input. Understanding of linear programming concepts and other optimization techniques are a plus in selecting the correct approach for a particular analysis. Solutions may be constrained by existing laws and must include appropriate consideration. Understanding of industry rate structures for various shipping modes is essential for analyzing rates and proposals.

Must have very good relationship building skills, communication, presentation, knowledge of implementing multiple TMS systems, and influencing abilities, be numbers oriented, and have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Access, Exel, and Powerpoint.
