Carbide Grinding Specialist, 3rd shift

VALENITE has immediate opening for a Carbide Grinding Specialists.

 

This candidate work in a manufacturing environment doing set-ups and operating CNC grinding equipment.  Production includes a diverse assortment and is in an area that will benefit from expansion and automation in next few years.

 

Main responsibilities include Set-up and operate various semi-complex to complex grinding and EDM equipment, Robotic Honer, and required accessory devices to produce standard and special inserts according to prints and standard operating procedures, assist in training less experienced grinders on various grinding and EDM equipment and associated devices, and write programs for NC/CNC controlled grinders. Also, input quality and production data into appropriate company information systems, perform primary maintenance on assigned equipment, and assist maintenance group in performing major repairs.

 

Qualified candidates will have a minimum of high school diploma or GED, high school geometry or equivalent, and a minimum of two years set-up and operator experience and/or equivalent academic education.
