Job Description:
French Gerleman is seeking a professional to join the company’s Marketing team. This position will be responsible for the development and maintenance of product databases and catalogs. This person will manage the development and production of print catalogs, online/electronic catalogs and other sales collateral necessary to achieve positive product and market awareness for French Gerleman. This position focuses heavily on updating and maintaining the product database used for catalog development and production. In addition, this person will register and support customers who use the online order center (fgorders.com) and interface regularly with inside sales, outside sales and telesales to distribute catalogs. This person will also help develop awareness of French Gerleman print and online catalog capabilities and train customers using fgorders.com. All candidates must have prior knowledge in electrical supply products.

Describe the interface with Officers and/or Managers:
Work closely with managers, product specialists and internal subject matter experts to verify content and accuracy of product data for In Stock Buyer's Guides, Specialty Catalogs, Online Catalogs, Discontinued Merchandise Promotions and New Product Promotions.
Describe the scope of interface- A.)Across the entire Corporation or B.) A particular segment of the Corporation
Interface with Executive Management, Management, and Product Specialists/Managers, Inside Sales, Outside Sales, MIS/IT, Telesales, Purchasing and Marketing.
Describe the responsibility and relationships with vendors, if any.
Work closely with Vendors (Manufacturers) to manage and maintain product descriptions, technical specifications, catalog numbers, a comprehensive library of product images, photography. Work with technology vendors to ensure the ongoing functionality and performance of catalog development software and web-based tools.
Describe how this position establishes or manages customer relationships, and the extent of customer service responsibility.
This position will interact with customers on a daily basis by phone, e-mail and in-person. Provide customer training, technical support and customer service for fgorders.com.
Describe the customer relationship/service responsibilities
Monitor and track all fgorders.com registration requests. Set-up user names and passwords. Work with customers to identify required users and permission access to fgorders.com features. Train customers on how to use fgorders.com both onsite and/or online. Assist customers with technical issues and overall product functionality.
Describe the problem solving skills required
Candidate must exhibit a strong electrical, automation, datacom and power transmission product knowledge. Candidate must exhibit strong technical aptitude, which includes the ability to learn catalog development software programs and (web-based) shopping cart tools. Candidate must have the ability to communicate effectively, identify customer concerns and respond with a resolution in a professional and timely manner.

Catalog development, printing, database management, customer training, budget tracking and management.

The Candidate will be responsible for tracking and maintaining catalog print and production budgets.

Must have the ability to identify product and technology requirements and communicate those requirements effectively to internal subject matter experts. In addition, should also have the ability to manage project schedules and meet production deadlines.
