Central District Sales Manager

Northern Kentucky manufacturer of dust collector bags, liquid filtration products and baghouse maintenance services seeks an industrial sales professional for the position of District Sales Manager.  The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for meeting corporate sales and profit goals in a Midwestern based area covering the states of Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, Pennsylvania and West Virginia.  The successful candidate should have experience within the capital equipment and MRO markets primary calling within the Chemical, Nonferrous and Ferrous Metals, Power, and Food processing industries would be beneficial.

The District Sales Manager will be responsible for the strategic development and leadership of an independent rep sales force and direct sales to existing key accounts.

Specific Duties include:

· Maintains distribution channels by recruiting, selecting, training and managing independent sales representatives within the territory.

· Accomplishes results by communicating sales or performance expectations to the individual representatives; planning, monitoring, analyzing, coaching, and motivating them to achieve and exceed corporate sales goals.

· Develop new business and maintain current strong relationships with key account customers, causing incremental sales increases to them within the territory.

· Provide information to corporate management by recapping territorial activity; reporting business opportunities, trends, results and competitive information.

· Develop overall strategies and tactics to optimize sales results within the territory.

 

Qualifications are:

· A track record of success building effective teams, preferably an independent sales network, and meeting or exceeding regional sales goals.

· Prior successful experience in technical industrial sales, preferably in the air pollution control or environmental fields.

· Bachelor’s Degree, in an engineering or related technical discipline.
