Chemical Engineer

We are privately held International plastics additive producer located in the Houston, TX area looking to fill a ChemE position.  The candidate will be involved in the development and planning the construction of a new production area as well as the upgrading of current production lines.  These operations are batch processes involving various ambient and vacuum reactors along with distillation and filtration. 

 

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

1) Creation and updating of P&ID and PFD records for current and future production.

  2) Ability to assist in the design of and manage the construction of new and existing production lines.

  3) Manage Maintenance's Dept. activities and develop effective preventive maintenance programs.

  4) Interface with Production Dept. for the discovery, development and implementation of process

  improvements. 

 

Qualifications:

  Bachelors Degree in Chemical Engineering with a preferred 3 - 5 years minimum work

  experience in the areas mentioned above.

 

  Experience with AUTO CAD or Chem CAD type software programs. 

 

  Good communication and reporting skills.

 

  US Citizen preferred.
