Chief Financial Officer/Controller Position Description

(This position requires experience with a B2B or B2C catalog or direct marketing company)

The CFO/Controller will have full responsibility for:

1. Management and supervision of accounts payable, accounts receivable, collections and bookkeeping;


2. Preparation of all financial statements;

3. Preparation of budgets on an individual departmental level and overall for the Company;

4. Development of a partnership with all departments within the Company to collegially prepare all departmental plans and key metric analyses including financial, budgetary, and performance; to develop and apply a suite of key metrics to serve as a unified analytic protocol for the company to drive improved performance in all areas of the Company;

 5. Design, management and execution of all inventory control and management procedures;

6. Payroll and benefits administration;

7. Contract negotiation and administration;

 The Controller ideally will:

1. Possess strong IT/ERP skills and experience and have the ability to partner with all departments to improve systems performance and effectiveness;

2. Possess a strong background in distribution, inventory control and mail order/direct, multichannel marketing and Internet marketing;

3. Possess a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the formulaic metrics and performance benchmarks of catalog and online multichannel direct marketing.

 4. Possess strong management and leadership talent and capabilities;

 5. Possess certification as a CPA or a similar level of professional experience.
