4. Cut stone, ceramics and refractory Job Title:  Cluster Vice President – Construction Material

Department:  Construction Material Cluster Development

Reporting to:  President

The Cluster Vice President will be responsible for establishing the cluster vision and strategy and overseeing the execution of strategy for the growth of the cluster and diversification of the program within the identified clusters to achieve the organization objectives.  The Cluster Vice President will be responsible for attracting companies to invest in the manufacturing and supporting businesses that need to be established in the cluster.  In addition, the Cluster Vice President will be responsible for identifying and recommending development opportunities for the economic development in The Kingdom.  Major Duties and Responsibilities

· Establish the cluster vision and strategy and set the direction for the projects identified to grow the cluster and diversify the program within the cluster businesses.

· Recommend specific opportunities for the growth of the cluster and the program for the economic development in the Kingdom.

· Oversee the conduct of pre-feasibility studies including market analysis to determine the economic feasibility of the projects as well as identify and recommend the economic and regulatory enablers that are required to make these projects viable.

· Set the cluster and projects value propositions and market the projects to knowledge based investors.

· Establish negotiation parameters and conduct negotiations with relevant parties to support new business ventures entering into the market. 

· Identify barriers that preclude investments in the cluster projects and direct the execution of methods to overcome/resolve these barriers.

· Ensure the short and long term health and growth of the cluster. Establish strategic checkpoints and performance measures to ensure strategy progresses according to plan and that any impediments are effectively resolved.Skills & Abilities

· Ability to develop focused cluster development & business strategies and to direct the execution of these strategies.

· Ability to direct the identification of business opportunities for the profitable growth of the program.

· Ability to oversee the conduct of economic studies and market analysis.

· Ability to manage research and gather market intelligence activities.

· Effective project and business development skills.

· Strong leadership skills including results driven, excellent executer and effective communicator.

·  Proficiency in the English language in oral and written form.

 

Qualifications & Experience:

 

· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent; MBA is preferred or equivalent management experience in Business Development.

· A minimum of 10–15 years of relevant experience in the construction material manufacturing industry.

· Proven achievement and track record.

· Experience with directing and overseeing major projects/programs, business development and feasibility study work.
