Thank you.Position Summary: Leading central purchasing group representative for assigned commodities used by decentralized business units.  Define and meet internal customer expectations in terms of quality, delivery, cost, service and technology.Responsibilities of Position: Develop, implement, and manage commodity strategy; evaluate and select suppliers, including global opportunities, negotiation of supply agreements, and rationalization of the supply base Develop cost reduction and productivity strategies directly aligned with overall commodity strategy Develop and implement actions to achieve SCM goals for commodity: 0 PPM, 100% delivery performance, productivity/cost reduction Drive continuous improvement in the supply base in support of business goals utilizing Long Term Agreements and Value Engineering Develop and manage strategic supplier relationships while supporting global Bendix / KB supply base strategies leveraging off of global synergies Provide support to plants for both strategic issues and supplier performance issuesRequired Skills Strong organizational interpersonal and written communication skills Ability to multi task Experience in developing commodity strategies Ability to influence peers and lead cross functional teams Proven results in driving supplier improvement and implementing cost reduction programs SAP experience a plus Excellent analytical and negotiation skills Self-starter, possessing high degree of self-motivation and bias for action Demonstrated problem solving and project management skillsRequired Experience Bachelors Degree REQUIRED, Business or Supply Base Management degree preferred 5 years experience in purchasing or procurement function Experience procuring steel stampings, screw machine parts and/or automotive subcomponents Must have demonstrated experience and ability to gain proven results CPM / CPIM a plusJob LocationElyria, OH, US.Position TypeFull-Time/RegularRelocation Assistance Available?YesTravel RequiredUp to 25% MRINetwork is the largest and most successful search organization in the world.
