POSITION:  Commodity Manager, Components

REPORTS TO: Worldwide Manager, Components/Raw Materials



Summary of position:

Within the Global Sourcing Team, incumbent (jobholder) will be responsible for a specific group of sourced commodities. Jobholder will implement and manage global sourcing strategies to meet sourced requirements of the assigned commodities (products/services) throughout ERICO. Provide ERICO’s divisions with optimal supply assurance, pricing, flexibility, quality, and delivery performance.

Responsibilities:Identifying, selecting and establishing sources of supply regionally and worldwide for the assigned commodities. Optimizing the supply base, minimizing the number of suppliers worldwide for maximum leverage without loosing flexibility and supply reliability. Facilitating worldwide cross-functional teams for discussing and agreeing on sourcing decisions. Analyze supply base and recommend strategy for improving the supply base to senior management. Plan and execute RFQs, benchmark cost analysis and cost reduction programs.

REQUIREMENTSBachelor’s degree required or MBA in Business or Engineering.Minimum 2 to 5 years of related experience.Strong negotiation skills.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to travel locally and internationally, 25%.Energetic, highly-motivated personality.
