Compensation Specialist
McCormick & Co., Inc., the world leader in the spice, flavor & seasonings industry, is seeking a full time Non-Exempt Compensation Specialist in its Corporate Headquarters located in Sparks, MD. DESCRIPTION / RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supporting the administration and coordination of various compensation processes and programs.
- Administration of salary survey participation and market data.
- Maintenance of job evaluation logs and documentation.
- Running various reports and preparing data.
- Annual/semi-annual compensation process administration.
- Administration of the executive and sales force auto programs.
- Maintenance of compensation-related procedures.
NOTE: EXPECTED START DATE NO EARLIER THAN MAY 15, TO BE DETERMINED BASED ON DEPARTMENT TRANSITION PLANS.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma or equivalent required; some college education preferred.
- Three years experience in HR, compensation, HRIS, or benefits work OR equivalent combination of college degree and relevant work experience required.
- Demonstrated ability to handle highly confidential information.
- Demonstrated team orientation is required, with strong customer service focus.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
- Excellent administrative skills, analytical abilities and ability to work independently on detailed projects and special programs required.
- Must be able to provide recommendations on process improvements and implement solutions.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft applications; intermediate to advanced Excel skills required. Some SAP experience preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to plan and coordinate multiple projects/work initiatives at one time, adapt to changes and consistently meet deadlines.
- Able to read and interpret policies and procedures and to develop documentation of desk procedures
