Component Buyer/Planner

H2O Plus is an innovative product developer, manufacturer, and retailer of skincare, spa and bath products. Our Chicago area corporate manufacturing facility is seeking a Component Buyer/Planner.

This position will be responsible for creating and building vendor relationships, sourcing vendors, negotiating pricing, and processing as well as expediting all purchase orders.  The Buyer will monitor the MRP and forecast on a regular basis, create and update purchase orders, and make adjustments to support production schedules, along with managing product inventory levels and resolving any vendor disputes.  The Buyer may purchase other commodities, as necessary.

Position requirements include 5-10 years purchasing experience within a MRP manufacturing environment with at least 3 years of component purchasing experience. Some background within the personal care product arena, preferably with multiple part complex finished products is preferred. Strong negotiation and communication skills (verbal and written; a Bachelor's degree, MRP/ERP experience and MS Office proficiency, specifically in Excel, is also required.
