Computational Software Engineer (temp)

Job Description We are looking for a candidate to run and modify numerical software codes. The position involves being in charge of running custom and commercial micromagnetic and commercial FEM numerical software to examine design trade-offs of magnetic recording systems and components.  This work requires handling large codes, modifying design templates, processing and analyzing data, which includes writing and improving scripts for controlling the execution and processing of the data.  Position requires computer literacy and knowledge of some computer languages. Job Requirements Knowledge of basic file manipulation in the Linux/Unix operating system, Matlab is required, and a background in magnetics would be beneficial. Position requires good documentation, interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work well as part of a team of theorists and experimentalists.
