Computer Systems Engineer

Computer Systems Engineer

 

The engineer in this position will be a member of the engineering team designing explosives detection systems.  This engineer will be responsible for specifying and designing the computer configurations for the embedded and standalone product computers.  This is a product development engineering position.  Responsibilities include:

-  creating and maintaining OS disk images for new and sustaining product,

-  evaluating new technology to meet product requirements,

-  analyzing failures,

-  creating and maintaining BOMs for new and released product,

-  resolving end-of-life issues on computer components,

-  specifying peripherals such as video cards, monitors, and printers, and

-  interfacing with third party vendors.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

-  BS in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or related field

-  Minimum 5 years experience in related position

-  Expert knowledge of Windows, networking, bios, computer peripherals and drivers

-  Good interpersonal and communication skills

-  Good time management skills

-  Maintains excellent working relationships with vendors, purchasing and operations.
