Position Summary:
Accounting/Close/Reporting
Plan and manage the monthly, quarterly and annual close and consolidation process, including developing close calendars and maintaining close process documentation.
Prepare various consolidated schedules for quarterly review and annual audits, including certain financial statement footnotes.
Partner with business units to provide support for close and reporting activities, as needed.
Ensure accuracy of system eliminations and maintain clear concise support for system eliminations.
Support worldwide intercompany reconciliation process.
Produce close process metrics and dashboard results.
Participate in development and maintenance of management reporting package.
Maintain and update selective Sarbanes Oxley documentation and perform self-assessment testing.
Identify and implement process improvements as part of the Finance World Class Close initiative.
Assist in the implementation and communication of new accounting practices and policies.
Systems
Liaise with cross-functional Finance groups to drive system process improvements.
Perform, refine and improve various SAP closing tasks.
Resolve issues regarding master data, system configuration and system setup.
Support the SAP system change request process. Clearly communicate requests/changes, prioritize the queue, and work with Business Solutions Management (BSM) to facilitate results.
Coordinate with BSM in automating manual reports and processes as well as identifying opportunities to utilize additional SAP functionalities.
Support maintenance of the chart of accounts and cost center structure. Maintain best practice position of minimizing accounts/cost centers.
Required Qualifications:
CPA, undergraduate Business or Accounting degree.
Minimum six to eight years of experience, mix of public and private industry preferred.
Strong understanding of US GAAP and financial statements.
Solid ERP systems and process experience.
Strong leadership and project management skills.
Management financial reporting experience.
Strong analytical skills
Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and self manage workload.
Ability to take ownership of issues and ensure timely resolution.
Ability to work on cross-functional activities and form solid business relationships across functions.
Flexible, adaptable and proactive.
Ability to influence and drive change.
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
Desired Qualifications:
Close process improvement experience.
SAP knowledge
