Consumer Goods Private Label Sales Manager

Minigrip, a division of Illinois Tool Works a fortune 200 company, seeks a highly motivated Business Development Manager for the Consumer Products division located in Seguin, Texas. Successful candidate will manage the private label and controlled brand sales and marketing efforts of consumer products sold to all channels of the retail trade.

 

Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university.Minimum 7 years sales experience; including working with brokers. Must live or be able to relocate to the San Antonio, Texas area.Excellent customer relations skills and excellent written/verbal communication skills.History of business travel – position requires 25% travel.


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

· To persistently and consistently strive to maximize sales and profits in accordance with overall Consumer Products sales plans and in compliance with company philosophy and policy.

· To provide accurate and relevant data, insight and recommendations in areas of product design, packaging, new product development, methods of distribution and product promotion.

· To maximize long term profits through the development and sustained performance of broker representatives.

· To strategically and creatively uncover new sales opportunities at all accounts and potential accounts by recognizing the business changes in the market and industry.

· To analyze customer needs, requests and business problems and unemotionally calculate and negotiate alternative solutions in areas of service, quality, pricing and representation.

· Develop annual sales goals, objectives, and strategies.

· To develop and submit timely, detailed and accurate sales reports.

· To consistently complete all administrative duties required by the company and manager in areas of personal performance and sales performance including all required company forms and reports.

· Supervise sales and marketing team members.

· Participation in national, regional or local trade shows.
