We are currently looking for a Continuous Improvement Manager at our Batesville, MS location.

JOB SUMMARY: This person will be reporting to the Plant Manager with a dotted line to the Corporate CI Manager. This role will schedule, lead and facilitate Kaizen events and projects aligned with the goals of the organization. Additionally, the role will coordinate CI activities with the plant management team to ensure alignment, and coach employees in the daily use and implementation of lean principles. This person will also be maintaining consistent application of CI tools between departments, training, reporting, and tracking all plant CI activities and related cost savings, training, certifications and events.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Schedule, lead and facilitate Kaizen Events and CI projects aligned with the VSM future state and policy deployment. Coordinate CI activities with plant management team to ensure organization alignment with policy deployment objectives. Coach employees in the daily use and implementation of lean principles. Maintain consistent application of CI tools between departments as Job Instruction, Standard Work sheets, etc. Provide CI Training for new employees and ongoing CI training for all employees. Audit, monitor and sustain the health of the plant CI culture by utilizing a scoring system, gap analysis and countermeasures. Track the status of all plant CI activities, cost savings, training, certifications and events. Assist corporate wide kaizen effort as needed (other manufacturing plants, CSC & RDC locations, corporate offices, suppliers, design and new product development, etc.). Lead by example. Other duties may be assigned.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Bachelor's degree required (preferably in Engineering or Business Mgmt). Four to six years related manufacturing experience and/or training. Demonstrated CI/Lean manufacturing experience (understanding of 5S, CI, SMED, Root Cause Analysis, 5 Whys, Std. Work, 3P, Poke Yoke). Passion for CI and ability to teach, mentor and coach. Excellent leadership and facilitation skills. Six Sigma experience or certification, Lean Certification and CQE Certification preferred.
