Position Summary: The successful candidate will be responsible for:

 PLC – Maintaining the PLC / computer control systems / industrial controls through the facility.Troubleshooting / Process Improvement / Maintenance – The controls technician will have primary responsibility for troubleshooting process and maintenance problems.Predictive / Preventive Maintenance Experience – Part of the responsibilities of this position will be contributing to the reduction of downtime and the costs associated with “reactive” maintenance.  Project Work – A portion of the work for the controls technician will be to manage equipment or process improvement projects.Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) – In order to insure swift resolution of issues AND to assimilate preventative measures, the controls technician will be responsible to participate in CMMS.Vendor Maintenance Contracts / Contractors - As the key electronics liaison, the controls technician will interface on a regular basis with contractors specializing in this discipline.Training / Mentoring / Collaboration –  The role of controls technician is to bring others in the maintenance group up to speed on the appropriate methods and processes which effect their role in maintaining facility productivity.

 Qualifications For Success:

 Formal Training In PLC / Controls / Maintenance – (Degree preferred but NOT required)3 (Three) Or More Years Experience With Industrial ControlsExtensive Knowledge And Trouble Shooting OfPLC – especially Allen Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi, Modicon, Omron, GE, etc.ElectronicsElectrical Troubleshooting And Repairs HydraulicsPneumaticsExperience With Implementation And / Or Support Of Integrated Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)Preventive / Predictive Maintenance (PM) / Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) And Lean Manufacturing ExperienceSoftware Experience Including: Borlan, Delphi, Microsoft Word, Excel & Project, RS Logix, SAP, Wonder Ware
