Job Description Coordinator, 3rd Party Logistics Operations GENERAL SUMMARY:Under the general supervision from the Manager, Planning/Scheduling/Inventory Control, this position is responsible for inventory deployment and operational support to 3PL and off-site warehouse and shipping locations.  Acts as the initial contact for inventory and order fulfillment issues at public and consignment warehouses, etc.  Acts as the primary coordinator for inter-site inventory replenishment or similar inventory move transactions.  Monitors inventory trends; provides feedback to avoid excess stock or outages.  Participates in computer systems development/upgrades, and development or revisions to department QWI’s. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:· Sets safety stock/replenishment levels for 3PL operations and coordinates inventory replenishment.  Instructs and trains 3PL personnel in operating procedures, inventory control programs and customer profiles/shipping requirements.· Ensures that procedures at 3PL warehouses for inventory of materials and products will support Company inventory cycles and accuracy goals.· Works with Inventory Control personnel to coordinate programs related to accuracy and reconciliation of finished goods, raw materials and component inventory such as cycle count program, expired product controls and periodic physical inventories at 3PL and off-site warehouse locations.· Collects and reports performance against KMI’s (key metric indicators) for inventory accuracy and disposition, order fulfillment, on-time delivery, etc.· Maintains records related to inventory management and shipping programs.· Works closely with Customer Service in US and Europe to resolve discrepancies concerning 3PL shipments, invoicing or any other area that creates potential problems.· Tracks and reports accuracy of products shipped and orders processed.· Participates in various systems development (SAP, Data3, etc.) and maintains upgrade status on these systems.· Interacts with personnel at all levels of the company, in both domestic and international sites, regarding order fulfillment and shipping schedules. QUALIFICATIONS:Requires Associates degree and 2 years of experience in a materials or distribution environment; or in lieu of a degree -- at least 5 years of working experience, including at least 2 years in a materials or distribution environment.  Must possess an understanding of systems logic.  Must have working knowledge of inventory management practices such as cycle count, Perpetual-GL reconciliation, and product storage techniques.  Attention to detail and proven problem solving skills are required.  Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment.Education: AssociateJob Level: Experienced
