Core Sales Representative

Melco Embroidery Systems, a world leader in high-tech production textile machinery and design software, located in Westminster, Colorado is currently seeking a dynamic individual to support the sales organization by contacting and communicating with existing and potential customers via phone and electronic communication methods to promote the sale of goods and services.

 

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong product management and sales skills to produce new business and assist in retaining existing customer sales for Melco products. Specific responsibilities include:

 

· Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from marketing, business directories, industry ads, trade shows, Internet Web sites, and other sources.

· May travel throughout assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders, or talk with customers at sales showcases or by phone.  Travel is minimal.

· Displays or demonstrates product and emphasizes salable features.

· Quotes prices and terms and prepares sales orders.

· Prepares weekly sales summary reports using existing formats.

· Keeps expense accounts and reports weekly.

· Works with sales administration to keep account activities and literature up to date.

· Attends industry Trade Shows as requested by Management

· Be an active influence within the Embroidery Community

· Performs related duties as required



QUALIFICATIONS

Requirements for this position include:

1.  3+ years experience in the Sales Industry, with demonstrated success in phone-based sales methods and capital equipment or software sales.

2.  Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience

3.  Excellent communication skills, both written and oral

4.  Bi-Lingual (Spanish) a plus



5.  Ability to work under tight timelines and with minimal supervision.

6.  Strong knowledge of Sales techniques
