Corporate Compensation Manager

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY:
Responsible for the development, implementation, administration and maintenance of the company’s global compensation programs. Prepares job descriptions, conducts job evaluation and salary surveys, establishes salary structures, develops salary budgets and prepares policies and procedures to ensure the achievement of equitable and competitive employee compensation. Works with line management to assess competitive labor market trends. Maintains a working knowledge of federal and state legislation and labor contracts that may affect compensation policies. Responsible for incentive, stock option and bonus plan design and administration. Must be detail oriented and able to coordinate, consolidate and reduce costs in the area of compensation.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Must have a working knowledge of US and global compensation programs including but not limited to; base, bonus, equity, and other incentive pay. Participates with other senior management & develops base, incentive & equity programsResponsible for incentive and stock option plan administrationWorking knowledge of salary surveys IPAS, Hewitt, Watson Wyatt are plus and Radford is desirable.Must have working knowledge of incentive plansParticipates with other senior managers to establish strategic plans and objectives. Makes proposals on administrative or operational matters and ensures operations’ effective achievement of objectives.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
· Bachelor's degree coupled with 5+ years recent experience in compensation management for a 3,000 employee global company or equivalent.
· 5-8 years’ experience gained through increasingly responsible management positions within Human Resources.
Interpersonal Skill:
· Must be able to develop strong working relationships.
· Must have excellent communication skills.
· Must have a strong computer knowledge and excellent ability in Excel.
· Must use a positive approach to quality challenges.
· Work effectively with all locations and diverse cultures.
· High energy level, comfortable performing multifaceted projects in conjunction with day-to-day activities.
· Superior interpersonal abilities. Ability to get along with diverse personalities, tactful, mature, flexible.
· Good reasoning abilities, sound judgment, and excellent attention to detail.
· Resourceful and well organized.
· Ability to establish credibility and be decisive—but be able to recognize and support the organization's preferences and priorities.
· Results and people oriented, but have sound judgment—ability to balance other business considerations. Service oriented, but assertive/persuasive.
Organizational Relationships:
Accountable for all phases of compensation activities.
Advises, consults, and coordinates with Senior Management compensation policies.
