Corporate Logistics Procurement Manager

Hubbell Distribution Inc., a division of Hubbell Inc, $2 billion national electrical manufacturer, has an opening for a degreed experienced Corporate Logistics Procurement Manager in Spartanburg, SC.

 

The position reports to the VP, Corporate Logistics and is responsible for program management of transportation sourcing for internal customers with experience with all non-bulk modes of domestic and international transportation services(ocean container, freight forwarding, air freight, parcel/small package, dry van truckload, specialized/flatbed truckload, LTL, intermodal TOFC/COFC, specialized, etc.).  Candidate must analytically evaluate transportation costs, savings opportunities, negotiate procurement of services or goods and benchmark/measure performance, both cost and service. Will also be responsible for carrier contract management and rate change management.  The position requires a motivated self-starter who can be successful in a fast paced environment servicing Hubbell’s multi-division platforms.  The ideal candidate with have a related four year degree, five plus years commercial experience in Purchasing, Business Planning, Transportation or Logistics and possess strong decision making, analytical skills, organizational skills and be strategy oriented.
