Corporate Planning/Scheduling Manager

 

Position Summary

 

Reporting to the Corporate Director of Supply Chain this position will have direct interaction with our Client entities as it pertains to the planning and scheduling implementation in support of the corporate goals and deliverables. Will also identify areas of opportunity for bottom line benefits from reduced lead times and OTIF accuracy. This includes Global Planning and S & OP Management, definition of parameters used in the operating system, creation of control metrics and reports, tracking the performance and trends. The purpose of this position is to collaboratively facilitate the corporate planning & scheduling strategy and successfully implement a plan that results in the delivery of products with structure, organization, and efficiency thus, leading to better on time delivery with lower overall supply chain costs as a % to sales and delivery performance to 95%.

 

Job Duties / Responsibilities

 Define best practice for the planning and scheduling of our client customer orders to meet and exceed delivery requirements and create a standard process to be used for analysis and recommendations for focus.Define business planning and S & OP requirements through interaction with business unit owners and key users. Create visibility metrics to support these requirements.Work towards a synergistic supply chain model so that all the links in the chain are visible and tied into the system parameters.Analyze current system capabilities and future process requirements so that recommendations for input into the planning and scheduling system that will allow consolidating demands creating greater efficiency in throughput.Develop standard metric reports that will allow all site planning & scheduling functions to standardize their policies and procedures using best practice techniques.Champion planning processes: Demand, Sales & Operational, rolling forecast implementation.Create and facilitate a monthly planning analysis review, adjust system parameters where applicable. Train business unit key users on the method and adjustments of these parameters.Participate in a monthly supply chain review at selected sites to steer areas of focus by use of a Supply Chain Monitor and Scorecard.Experience in specifications for SAP programs which involve all MM/PP database tables, work centers, routings, BOMs, and capacity constraints for supply chain planning purposes.Wide experience with MM/ PP configurations for procurement, production planning and materials.

 

 

 

 

Basic Qualifications / Requirements

 Bachelor’s Degree Business, Engineering or MISGreater than 5 years operating in a similar environment.SAP R3 MM and PP experience is required.SAP APO demand planning experience highly desired.Ability to travel up to 50% and can be located in the Pittsburgh vicinity.Experience with data modeling and business process mapping.Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills are a must.APICS is an added plus.Experience with Financial controls and metricsInternational, multi-plant experience with a global OEM.Strong ability to lead change, mentor, and develop strong internal relationships...
