Our client, a top manufacturing firm located in the Loop, currently seeks to hire a Cost Accounting Manager on a direct hire basis. This is a great firm with an excellent benefits package and a competitive salary!


Cost Accounting Manager SummaryBuild, review, maintain and analyze standard costs, performing account analyses and reports for consigned and supplier managed inventoryPrepare LIFO calculation and forecasts. Complete month end closings, including journal entry preparation, account reconciliations and a write-up for plant expense and production variances in preparation of the monthly manufacturing performance report. Improve accounting processes and procedures in accordance with requirements. Work with plant and corporate personnel to review and to investigate inventory and costing transactions, and to understand the effects of those transactions through the entire inventory/production cycle. Prepare various ad hoc analysis and Peoplesoft trouble-shooting on an as needed basis.

 

 

Essential Cost Accounting Manager Skills & Characteristics A minimum of 5 years of experience in financial and operational accountingSuperior Excel skills for both data analysis and modeling Proficiency in SAP is a strong plus
