Department Marketing Statement
The global Finance Function acts as a proactive business partner, advising and making recommendations based upon financial projections and historical performance. Finance also provides financial expertise companywide and ensures accurate and efficient transaction processing.
Day to Day Responsibilities:
1. Complete day-to-day accounting activities for multiple business units. This includes: Participating and developing a basic understanding of the monthly closing process, performing account reconciliation's, project costing maintenance, participating in internal/external customer audits, report distribution, preparing bank reconciliation's, assisting in researching customer questions, performing JIP uploads, assisting in the preparation of the year-end package, tax package and the loading of budgets.
2. Provide backup support as needed for other General Accounting (GA) team members,
3. Propose and implement solutions to routine problems with guidance from other GA team members,
4. Participating in continuous process improvement initiatives, identifying, implementing and executing changes to standard operating procedures,
5. Familiarizing yourself with corporate policy/procedures enforce internal process controls and process discipline,
6. Maintaining Standard Operating Procedures
7. Working knowledge of basic accounting theory, be process oriented, and have a working knowledge of computer applications (such as EXCEL and WORD).
8. Experience with PeopleSoft is preferred, but not required,
