Credit and Collection Analyst

 

ATI Allegheny Ludlum, an operating company of Allegheny Technologies (NYSE: ATI), manufactures and markets a wide range of flat rolled specialty metals, including stainless steel, nickel alloys, titanium and electrical steels to global end use markets such as aerospace, power generation, automotive and housing.  Our goal is to safely deliver exceptional value to our customers, suppliers, employees and shareholders.  We are seeking a Credit Analyst for our financial department located in Brackenridge, PA (25 miles north of Pittsburgh).

 

Summary –Accountable for the credit and collection activities of ALC trade accounts receivable assigned to ensure Accounts Receivable turns (DSO and DTP) are at or better than industry norms and credit risk is minimized while still maximizing profitable sales.

 

Duties and Responsibilities: Accountable for the credit and collection activity for the customer portfolio assigned Establish and revise credit lines on customer accounts through detailed credit investigation and through financial statement analysis Conduct credit evaluations on all existing customers as dictated by risk codes established and credit line expirations Proactively conduct collection activities on all delinquent customers together with performing root cause analysis to understand trends Participate in bi-weekly credit meetings with senior management. Work closely with internal departments to resolve any issue preventing the prompt and consistent turning of Accounts Receivable Have a passion for excellence in achieving and exceeding expectations on all Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) relating to the Credit and Collection Department. Miscellaneous projects as assigned Portfolio of responsible activity will include the collection of delinquent accounts, disallowed deductions, unauthorized cash discount collections and unused overpayment and unused credits Increased analysis and awareness on root cause analysis to better understand payment trends Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned

 

Minimum Requirements: BS in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance Detail oriented and able to communicate effectively – both written and verbal Proficient with Excel, PowerPoint, and Word Able to work and excel in a team environment Excellent negotiating and leadership skills Able to analyze and perform payment trend analysis and financial analysis
