Credit & Collections Professional

Hartung Glass Industries is one of the largest and premier glass fabricators within the United States.  We are independently owned and have been in business over 75 years.  Hartung has over ten locations and is headquartered in Seattle, WA.  We are currently seeking a Credit & Collection Specialist for our office in Tukwila.

 

Responsibilities will include: Confers with customer by telephone in attempt to determine reason for overdue payment, reviewing terms of sales, service, or credit contract with customer Records information about financial status of customer and status of collection efforts Prepare and process prelien information on a daily basis Grants extension of credit Prepare and process customer joint check agreements Verifies accuracy of accounts Established credit limitations on customer accounts and handles special credit arrangements from standard terms of payment Establishes and updates customer credit activities Audits delinquent accounts considered to be uncollectible to ensure maximum efforts have been taken before assigning bad debt status to account Submits delinquent accounts to attorney or outside agency for collection Assists management in the formulation of credit policies Communicate with customer service department Sorts and files correspondence Other duties as assigned

 

 Job requirements include: 3-5 years credit collection experience in the construction industry Thorough knowledge of multiple state lien laws and prelien processes Understanding of joint check agreements Strong attention to detail Good math skills Excellent communication skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office products Analytical skills Notary Public Preferred
