Currently we are seeking a Credit & Collection Team Leader. This position is located in Nashville, TN. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: People Development: Lead team of 6-9 employees in Accounts Receivable; provide performance feedback and provide opportunities to learn & improve.Cost Reduction: Relentless pursuit of cost reduction via efficiency gains and elimination of waste.Innovative Application of Technology: Drive continuous improvement efforts by seeking opportunities to strengthen systems & processes within A/R. Deliver timely, relevant data to key customers.Working Capital Focus: Improve cash flow through reduction of A/R Past Dues & Days to PayOperational Effectiveness: Consistently deliver superior results against established measures.Nurture Business Growth: Embrace change; prepare organization for new opportunitiesProfessionalism: Must work effectively with all levels of management and A/R team members.Flexibility: Fast-paced, collaborative team environment requires self-directed performer who requires little direct supervision.Cross-Functional: Frequent interaction across departmental & organizational lines.Team Player: Establish positive working relationships within diverse AR team. Take responsibility.Unleash Employees: Empower direct reports to contribute by helping them build on their strengths REQUIRED SKILLS:Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field7-10 years of accounts receivables experience 7-10 years previous team management or leadership experience.At least 5 years experience in finance, accounting, or related business areas.Proficiency in PC desktop applications: Excel, Word, Lotus Notes, PowerPoint.Must be familiar with basic Credit, Collections, and Accounts Receivable functions.Experience with Oracle financials or similar databases helpful.Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills are a must.Prefer previous manufacturing or distribution industry experience. Ability to comprehend systems functionality (such as EDI, EFT/ACH and data movement) necessary.Ability to evaluate customer credit worthiness from financial statement analysis and other data.A focus on continuous improvement in all business processes is required. Experience with 6 Sigma quality projects.Responsible for reviewing processes, creating working documentation, performing testing, recommending solutions and implementing changes.Achieve team and departmental performance objectives by setting goals, managing time and attendance, monitoring and appraising performance, coaching, training, counseling, resolving issues, and creating/supporting recognition activities.Interested candidates please send a confidential resume for immediate consideration.
