Job Title: Custodial Service Supervisor 2nd Shift 

Job Summary: Oversee the day to day custodial services operation on 2nd shift.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Assign incoming work orders to appropriate personnel.


Oversee the custodial PM process.


Instruct/oversee the workforce in regard to safety.


Schedule labor to cover for absences and openings.


Resolve employee conflicts.


Order janitorial supplies in a timely manner while working within a budget.


Communicate with various levels including: upper management, hourly union employees, and the customer.


Perform daily quality audits on work assignments.


Qualifications:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 3 to 6 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Directly supervises 15 to 20 employees in the Environmental Services. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. 

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

Strong computer skills are required.
