Custom Retail Furniture Manufacturer Seeks Experienced Controller/Accounting Manager

Responsibilities include:Assist in the development and implementation of goals, policies, priorities and procedures relating to financial management, budget, accounting and payroll Supervise and participate in the preparation of various financial statements and reports.  Manage monthly, quarterly and yearly financial close of multiple entities and prepare reporting package for owners/managementManage preparation of bank reconciliations and weekly cash reports Reconcile leases and loans monthlyDirect the installation of general and subsidiary ledgers of accounts receivables, revenue distribution, depreciation, cost, property and operating expenses, and insurance recordsEstablish system controls for new financial systems and develop procedures to improve existing systemsDirect the installation and maintenance of new accounting, time keeping, payroll, inventory, property and other related procedures and controls File all payroll tax returns and manage tax correspondence Assist external accountants with preparation of year end tax returns, schedule and form K1's Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functionsManage weekly and bi-monthly payroll functionReview draw requests for accuracy and adherence to budgetAssist with all functions of risk management, including, but not limited to workers compensation, general liability, 1099 reporting and placement of such policies Assist with the human resources function and employee benefits

MUST HAVE: Bachelors Degree in Accounting (preferred) or equivalent combination of education and experienceFour to ten years experience and/or training in financial accountingExcellent project management skills Written and verbal communication skills, strong decision making ability and attention to detailAbility to multi-task; self motivated with solid time management skills Supervisory experienceKnowledge of Peachtree, Epicor, or similar financial management software
