We are an equal opportunity employer. This position will be primarily responsible for supporting * Customer Market Profitability Initiative for Cummins Power Generation. Key job responsibilities include but not limited to : * Launching different projects on profitability analysis for CPG to develop capabilities for customer/market profitability while accomplishing results within set timeline.* Performing 5-7 different CMP projects involving Value Chain analysis, Cost to Serve analysis, pricing and discounting work for value package/profit improvement for PGBU.* Representing CPG on the Customer Market Profitability [CMP] Core Team and provide support for Customer Support Excellence [CSE] work * Working closely with marketing and business leaders to initiate and participate in Customer Market Profitability [CMP] projects.[* - The purpose of the Customer and Market Profitability (CMP) initiative is to develop capabilities (methods, processes and tools) to acquire and analyze profitability data at a customer and market level across the enterprise that can be used to improve overall customer profitability.] * Bachelors Degree in Mathematics/Engineering/Business * Administration/Finance or related field required. (Masters degree preferred)* A minimum of 3 years related work experience without preferred educational requirements* Knowledge of Six Sigma or statistical tools and data analysis.* Ability to perform detailed quantitative analysis, think strategically and communicate ideas effectively. * Must have knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint* Experience/Familiarity with Six Sigma tools or willingness to be a Six Sigma Belt* Ability to identify process improvement opportunities and drive change* Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and with individuals with diverse backgrounds and skill sets* Team oriented, energetic, and self-motivated* Demonstrated ability to work within a team and help the team meet its goals* Ability to effectively communicate with others* Ability to work with little supervision* Ability to interact with Cross Business Unit team members and stakeholders"Cummins Inc is an Equal Opportunity Employer and Affirmative Action Employer dedicated to diversity in the workplace."
