Customer Service Agent

Thoden Publications is seeking a detail oriented and friendly customer service agent to support our online web sites:

 

www.DraperySewingSupplies.com

www.DraperyWorkroomSupplies.com

www.Window-Valance-Patterns.com

 

and others.

 

This is a part-time position from 9am to 2pm Monday through Friday. Great hours and a great location!

 

We will be conducting phone interviews through the month of May and will require the candidate to be available to start June 9th.

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  Answering phone calls Answering customer questions about sewing projects and products we offer Placing customer orders Modifying customer orders Providing customers with shipping and order status Contacting customers about backordered items or problems with their orders Reviewing orders daily to forsee any problems with an order Communicate with warehouse staff to ensure urgent customer requests are implemented Address customer billing questions and issues Place orders for items with our vendors Respond to customer email inquiries Assist with warehouse prep work when needed. (counting and bagging rings for example.) Printing product labels Assist in quarterly inventory

 

Complete training on our products will be available for the right applicant.

 

This position will be considered a product expert and will be able to answer most questions a customer has.

Applicant should have the following skills: Computer skills required Familiarity with the internet and internet explorer Microsoft Word and writing documents Pleasant voice and calm manner Ability to multi-task High organizational skills

 

Applicant must be able to work independently, be proactive in ensuring all customers are handled properly, ensure that all orders are handled correctly and detail conscious in all tasks.

 

Once cross-trained, the customer service agent will be required to assist in printing shipping labels on high-volume days.
