Manufacturing Company Seeks Customer Service / Collections Agent

Established, creative and diversified sewn and hard good products manufacturing / import / export company in New Orleans, Louisiana seeks a Customer Service / Collections Agent.

 

Minimum Associate degree required with business courses preferred. Must have good basic PC skills, ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing, and be free to travel to trade shows several times a year. 


Candidate must have excellent organizational ability, be a quick learner, and have a willingness to cross train and learn a variety of jobs related to providing service to customers, including, but not limited to, taking orders by phone, responding to customer calls for information, and assisting accounting to place collection calls on a routine basis. 

 

Travel to trade shows would be required, usually twice a year. This would involve participation at juvenile product conventions to help sell and showcase our lines of diaper bags and infant accessories, for an average 5 night stay in places such as Orlando, Atlanta, or Las Vegas.

Position is full time, Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Salary commensurate with experience / educational background.  Group medical insurance for employee available, along with a 401K program.


Our office and factory is located in the Bywater section of New Orleans, close to Franklin Avenue and one block from the Mississippi River.
