Customer Service Manager - Printing

 

WS Packaging Group Inc. is an organization comprised of multiple facilities offering the widest array of printing and packaging with products and services as diverse as:  pressure sensitive labels and coupons (our core business), folded cartons, printed tape, decals, security tags, RFID labels, inserters, and applicators, commercial printing, specialty packaging, and custom application equipment.

WS Packaging Group, Inc. was formed in October 2000 with the merger of Wisconsin Label Corporation, founded in 1966, and Superior Label Systems, Inc., founded in 1970.  With this merger, WS Packaging Group became one of the top privately-owned label and tag manufacturers in the United States.

 

We are currently seeking a Customer Service Manager to work at our newly renovated Fullerton manufacturing plant.  The position would report to the General Manager.  In this critical role, you will ensure that the smooth flow of entered orders is maintained among the customer, customer service and manufacturing.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

 Directs and monitors all activities of the Customer Service Representatives.  Exercises the authority to assign work to the CSRs and change work priorities throughout the group to meet schedules and commitments.Attends daily production meetings giving accurate and timely status reports and projections.Maintains the necessary paperwork and controls within the group to keep scheduling informed of any and all status situations, changes and breakdowns.Adopts procedures for the customer service team to ensure new and better methods of maintaining accounts.Assists the Customer Service Representatives when problems arise that the CSRs cannot successfully solve.Recommends and implements programs that will more fully develop the CSR.Acts as back up to the CSR team in case of large work volume or absence (i.e. entering job orders; dealing with customers; etc.)Attends meetings on behalf of Customer Service Dept. when topic requires input from Customer Service.

Qualifications/Requirements:

· College degree and/or equivalent customer service.

· 5 + years experience.

· Management skills are required along with direct supervisory experience.

· Demonstrated skills in leadership, organizational and communication are necessary.

· Extensive knowledge of printing processes.

· Ability to plan, organize and supervise effectively.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Ability to anticipate problems and head them off.
