Customer Service Order Entry Clerk

Code 3, Inc. engineers, manufactures and markets a complete line of lighting and sound-based warning products used by professionals in emergency response, utility, service fleet, and industrial settings. We are currently searching for a Customer Service Order Entry Clerk. 

JOB SUMMARY

Receives and enters basic orders into the system with main focus on KS Stock items and Replacement Parts orders.  Back-up to Customer Service Representative(s) when necessary.  Performs duties where customer order entry is the  prime responsibility.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

·  Distributes fax orders hourly to the Customer Service Reps (CSR).

·  Performs clerical duties to assist CSR's, such as making copies and distributing drawing sheets to manufacturing.

·  Receives faxed requests for order entry, order changes, adjustments, price quotations and cancellations directly from domestic customers, original equipment manufacturers, and distributors.

·  Performs order entry and price quotations consisting of  basic orders (parts orders, non-configured and simple configured).

·  Achieves and maintains rapport with customers and works to give them the best possible service, when necessary.

·  Uses a PC to retrieve customer information, status of purchase orders, and to make changes on customer purchase orders. Ensures that correct codes are used for retrieving and inputting information.

·  Handles the needs of sales representatives and customers by area of the United States and Canada.

·  Quickely responds to price quotations by fax on price book items.

·  Checks with credit department concerning credit status of customer when rush orders are received.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES

·  High school diploma or equivalent, with proven math skills.

·  Previous experience in an entry-level customer service/marketing job, a plus.

·  Typing skills and some knowledge of PC necessary.

·  Demonstrated ability to communicate well with customers, verbal and written.

·  Motivated to grow into full-time CSR position.
