Customer Service-Seasonal Schedule
Customer Service-Seasonal/Part-time CM11895
Johns Manville is currently seeking qualified applicants for the position of Customer Service- Seasonal/Part-time to be located in Waterville, OH. This position will provide on-going vacation coverage for full time employees and will require a full time schedule during the summer and winter holiday seasons, with some flexibility. Hours will be more limited for the duration of the year.
The Customer Advocate will team with assigned Sales territory or National Accounts to maximize the sales and profitability of the customer base by offering superior customer service. The Customer Advocate will manage customer orders from inquiry to paid invoice by accepting and entering orders in database and coordinating with Physical Distribution; research and issue credits to resolve errors in shipping and pricing; manage customer complaints; resolve deductions in timely manner; quote and approve pricing within established guidelines, know the correct pricing of all customers in assigned territories and be able to determine pricing for customers in other territories; handle miscellaneous customer needs such as literature, samples and SPPI’s; manage rebate programs if applicable.
He/She will assist in the administration and maintenance of pricing, customer and product set up in database; partner with assigned Sales Territories, and proactively assist in their assigned responsibilities in implementing marketing and sales programs. He/She will have thorough knowledge of product lines and related industry products and the customer’s application of the products and will interface with functional experts to expedite orders in areas such as Credit, Pricing, Marketing and Sales.
Requirements:
• College Degree or Equivalent
• Minimum 1 – 3 years experience in customer support role which may include inside sales, order management and/or customer service.
• Sales aptitude, ability to encourage timely placement of orders, establish rapport with customers and resolve problems.
• Solid sales order entry system experience.
• Solid interpersonal and verbal and written communications skills.
• Solid problem resolution and ability to offer alternate solutions.
• Analytical ability to think through complex orders and problems until resolved.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritized activities.
• Ability to attend to detail and solid organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.
• Computer proficiency in spreadsheet application for reports and general analysis. Word processing application for correspondence with customer and internal JM.
• Commitment to quality, excellence and accuracy.
• Knowledge of building products or applications preferred.
• Working knowledge of finance, including the ability to analyze customer credit reports, basic financial reports, and payment histories preferred.
