Cycle Counter/Inventory

We currently have an opening for a dynamic individual to join our team as a Cycle Counter/Inventory

 

Responsible for thorough continuous cycle counts of inventory, researches all data available to assist management in maintaining accurate inventories, and ensures proper inventory and storage procedures are being followed. Also responsible for analyzing the origin of inventory discrepancies and presents discrepancies to management. Researches and documents all inventory related issues to provide an audit trail of problem areas and trends and reports problems/discrepancies to management. This position also assists in analyzing and identifying corrective action plans when problems are found and proposes them to appropriate supervision.

Specific Responsibilities:

1. Physically counts inventory using manual or automatic methods (scales and scanners).
2. Tabulate count data and provide reports to management using excel spreadsheets.
3. Provides explanations for simple stock discrepancies.
4. Enters data through a PC in a timely manner.
5. Maintains current certification to operate lift trucks.
6. Meets daily count requirements.
7. Informs Production planners of any potential part shortages.
8. Communicates with co-workers, team leaders, line leads and supervisors.
9. Maintain counts records and data files
10. Performs other duties as assigned.

• Ability to work independently
• Must have good math skills and be detailed orientated
• Must have computer skills, including but not limited to, MRP and MS office products
• Ability to keep records of activities performed
• Ability to communicate effectively with internal customers and others
• Knowledge of company safety practices and procedures
