DESIGNER /CAD DRAFTSMAN

Optima EPS Corp., an Elma company, is a designer and manufacturer of custom and standard electronic enclosures.  The company offers a fast, flexible response to customer needs and extensive practical knowledge in tailoring solutions to specific applications.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION

 

Design electronic enclosures for a variety of industries.  Work with suppliers on new parts and to solve design issues.  Work with manufacturing on fabrication and assembly issues.  Interface with sales and the customer on new orders.

 

Reports directly to the engineering manager.

 

SKILLS & ABILITIES

 Proficient in Auto Cad 2D Produce drawings for use by manufacturing Create product bill of materials Experienced in sheet metal design and welding design Knowledge of finishing such as painting and plating Knowledge of hardware (screws, PEM fasteners, etc.) Familiar with assembly techniques Ability to travel to customer or supplier facilities 3D CAD experience a plus Must be organized and creative
