DIRECTOR OF QUALITY AND SIX SIGMA

Our client is a global manufacturer of electronic and consumer products and they are actively searching for a Director of Quality for their North American and Global manufacturing, engineering and suppliers plants.  This is an excellent opportunity for someone to take on the challenge of a new corporate role overseeing a new Global Quality Strategy driving Six Sigma programs. The candidate must be a Black Belt, proven experience and success in corporate or regional quality positions and must have exposure to Global ie. outside North America, supplier or manufacturing quality experience.  Ideally candidates will be from an industry with continuous new product development centers such as electronics, automotive or packaging. You will be required to:

 

· Develop and deploy global quality standards.

· Develop and deploy audit protocols to support quality standards.

· Ensure that our client has strong Quality Systems globally in R&D/NPD, manufacturing, supply chain, Materials, and commercial functions that enable them to meet the expectations of its key stakeholders (customers, owners, and employees). 

· Design and deploy system for ensuring Quality leaders in all regions have basic quality skill and leadership competencies.

· Build compliance and continuous improvement into business and functional activities. 

· Monitor, trend, report, and drive performance towards global quality goals and objectives using key metrics and communications to achieve desired results and behavior.

· Establish a Global Quality Council to facilitate sharing of ideas, issues, and best practices.

· Develop in all regions the ability to use Process Management as a key tool to drive stability.

· Develop and deploy a global supplier quality assurance system.

· Identify clients needs for quality tools that support effective quality management system, select tools to meet those needs, and support global deployment of these tools.

· Manage the business relationship between our client and its global registrar for management system certifications.

· Develop and maintain Global Quality Strategy.

 

Other Requirements:

 BS/BA in Engineering or Science is required.  Masters degree in a relevant technical field or in the area of management or business is highly desired.  Six Sigma Black Belt a requirement.  Lean Manufacturing experience is a plus.American Society for Quality (ASQ) recognition, and detail knowledge of ISO9001 is high desirable.Experience with New Product Development, Supplier Quality Assurance, and Manufacturing operations are required; Quality Auditor experience preferred; Materials experience preferred.
