Database Administrator
The Corporate Office has an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Database Administrator position.
The Database Administrator administers and controls Olympic’s Oracle database resources for several enterprise-wide systems, including the administration of relational databases and middle tier Oracle applications servers. Responsible for employing tuning tools and techniques to improve database performance, implementing security architecture, and space management. Performs change management of revisions created by application software vendors.
Minimum Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Information Science, Information Technology or related field or commensurate experience required
· 3 – 5 years Oracle database administration experience required
· 1 year Oracle Application server experience required
· Proven experience in planning, installation, backup/recovery, cloning/refreshing Oracle databases
· Oracle Applications Server (9i/10g), Red Hat Linux, AIX, Windows environment experience required
· Expertise in application installation and upgrades, shell scripting, SQL and PL/SQL required
· Well-versed w/ user mgmt, performance tuning, concurrent processing setting, security mgmt, and database auditing
· Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community while also managing individual goals and objectives
· Detail oriented w/ strong organizing & planning skills; skilled in prioritizing and multi-tasking with a high level of creativity
· Excellent analytical, oral and written communication and problem solving skills
· Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers, vendors and internal resources, and strong commitment to providing superior customer service
· Strong personal values and high degree of professionalism required
