Demand Planner

Demand PlannerUnder the direction of the Sr. Buyer, responsible for; managing day to day raw inventory, manufacturing planning, procurement, distribution and manufacturing. Manage day to day raw inventory, question any inventory discrepancies. Reviews requisitions. Confers with vendors to obtain product or service information such as price, availability, and delivery schedule. Plans, executes and follows up on purchase and change orders in accordance with material requirements demand. Expedites delivery of materials from vendors. Maintains procurement records such as items or services purchased, costs, delivery, product quality or performance, and inventories. Analyze production forecast and question any unusual spikes in demand Review and compare raw materials received vs. ordered Review and analyze actual vs. scheduled consumption Generate purchase orders and ensure they are correct and complete Notify production scheduling of any raw material shortages ahead of time Report any supplier performance issues to the buying group Report any raw material supply issues to the buying group In case of a rejection (of a critical raw material component), the planner must organize and facilitate a meeting between Operations, Supply Chain, and QA to determine weather the product will be accepted (conditionally) or not Disposition and give a correct reason code for any and all raw material dumps Ensure that all raw material inventories are maintained within 1 to 1.5 days of forecasted demand Works closely with Planner/Schedulers to ensure adequate levels of raw materials are in place to support manufacturing operations Expedites delivery of goods to users Education and/or Experience Two years related experience Must have Intermediate computer skills BA degree a plus   Company: Wild Rocket Foods Location: Riverside, CA 92507 Status: Full Time, Employee Job Category: Manufacturing/Production/Operations Company: Wild Rocket Foods
