Design Engineer (Mechanical and/or Electrical)

Responsibilities:

 Project planning and reporting, including schedule and cost estimates.

·  Analysis, simulation, testing, qualification of product designs, applying reliability tools and statistical methods.

·  Carry out engineering calculations, special assignments and design studies relating to the field of Heat Transfer.

·  Product development, testing, and design activities in support of platform and system level issues for advanced Heat Transfer design.

·  Provide technical guidance to Marketing, Applications, Manufacturing and Purchasing.

·  Support the efforts of Lab Technicians and Designers as related to research and development, to develop innovative approaches and ideas.



Requirements


·  B.S. Degree (preferably Mechanical or Electrical Engineering), with experience in HVAC field and/or knowledge of heat transfer fundamentals, expertise in chiller systems would also be considered.  Multiple openings requiring varying levels of experience.

·  Good problem solving skills with a thorough understanding of Engineering Design Process.

·  Ability to apply reliability tools and statistical methods in design analysis.

·  Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.

·  Original thinking and creativity to meet challenges with resourcefulness and innovative approach
