Designer-Drafter

A fast-paced, rapidly growing north-Phoenix located semiconductor tool re-manufacturing company is looking for an articulate, accurate, self-motivated designer/drafter to help grow the design-engineering department.

 Individual should possess the following technical acumen:
5-10 years experience as a mechanical CAD designer/drafter A working knowledge of parametric solid-modeling software (i.e. SolidWorks, Catia, UG, Pro-E)Proficiency developing mechanical parts, assemblies and ANSI Y14.5 compliant drawingsAn associate mechanical drawing degree from an accredited technical school is desired but not a requirement. Individual should possess the following professional acumen:

 Proficiency using Microsoft products (i.e. Windows, Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint)Should be a good communicator (with coworkers and customers alike)Be self-motivated, intuitive and have the ability to work with limited directionHave the desire to manage programs from “art to part” (start to finish)


The individual chosen will be responsible for developing and maintaining solid part models, assembly models and the associated engineering drawings using SolidWorks 2008 and configuration managing his/her work through PDMWorks. Additionally, this individual will be responsible for accurately reverse-engineering many components and assemblies utilizing various measuring tools including a Mitutoyo BR-507 manual CMM, digital calipers, micrometers, etc. as required.
