Desktop Engineer As part of the Global IT infrastructure team the Desktop Engineer will be part of the engineering team responsible for architecting and designing desktop solutions. The incumbent’s role includes: the identification of new technology, developing strategies to improve desktop functionality, evaluating technology options, creating designs, testing/validating effectiveness of designs, and project management. Moreover, the Senior Desktop Engineer will enable a highly automated, globally managed client computing infrastructure. ** This is an engineering role (not Desktop Support). We are looking for an individual that can be responsible for Research and Design of Microsoft technologies. ** Requirements: Ø Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the design and operation of Windows Clients combined with 1-3 years of project management experience in an international environment plus 1-3 years experience coordinating Global IT infrastructure services in an international environment.Ø Experience with the design and operations of:o Windows XP Active Directory o SMS 2003o MSI packaging of thin clients using CitrixØ Strong leadership skills are requiredØ Must have ability to travel up to 10%Ø Bachelor's degree preferred; Certifications including MCSE, ITIL a plus Resumes forwarded as a Microsoft WORD document attachment are preferred.
