Coordinate and perform diesel engine development projects and analyze technical solutions for current, new and major architectures and technologies2. Develop, analyze and evaluate engineering designs, including subsystems, with consideration of such factors as system effectiveness, reliability, configuration, and cost 3. Coordinate the testing of prototype engines and instrumentation systems4. Implement engineering changes and balance requirements across systems such as after-treatment or Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR)5. Implement test and development programs6. Provide field support for After Sales and Application Sales departments whenever complex issues require engineering support7. Communicate and consult with Engineering and Design departments at the corporate headquarters in Friedrichshafen, GermanySupplemental: 1. Maintain a clean and safe work environment2. Remain technically current3. Perform special projects Required: 1. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and 3 years of engineering experience in the planning, development or design of engine systems; or 7 years of engineering experience in the planning, development or design of engine systems2. Strong knowledge of the principles and complete operation of internal combustion engines and diesel engine technology3. Strong knowledge and experience in developing engine architectures and designs4. Strong knowledge of design, development and test engineering, and assembly operations5. Strong knowledge of engineering processes and procedures6. Strong analytical and problem solving abilities7. Ability to travel - domestic and international8. Ability to work and get trained in Friedrichshafen, Germany for 3-6 months 9. Strong organizational, planning and follow-up skills10. Good interpersonal skills11. Good oral and written communication skills12. Good presentation skills13. Must be available to work flexible hours14. Proficient with PC and MS Office SuitePreferred: 1.
