Digital Print Operator

PGI Companies is a direct mail printer located in Minnetonka. We seek an experienced Digital Print Operator. You will enjoy our small company feel and casual dress, while working in a fast-paced department in a company of 250 employees. Job Summary

 

Primary responsibilities include setup and operation of various digital print devices including Canon Imagerunner and Xerox Docutech and Docucolor equipment. Some basic computer operation skills are used.

 

Primary Responsibilities

 

· Review jobs and files in the digital print production queue in order to establish the program, substrate, and output device.
· Proof the job and perform the quality checks - submit the proof to customers as needed.
· Insert the quality sample and checklist into the job envelope.

· Print the job in the queue or upon approval from customer.
· Responsible for good housekeeping and a safe work environment.
·At the end of the shift, secure all equipment and machinery and complete all required paperwork.
·Perform other routine maintenance and related duties as assigned by the Digital Print Manager.

 

Skills and Qualifications

 

· Must know how to operate machinery in Digital Print.
· Formal training on Digital Print devices and/or 1-3 years experience as a Digital Print Operator.
· Good mechanical skills beneficial.
· Basic computer operator skills including file management and Windows operating systems.

· Must have good verbal and written communication skills.
· Must be able to follow written instructions.
· Basic math skills and ability to read a ruler.
· High School or equivalent.

 

Hours

 

9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday
