Director, Compensation and Benefits
TIMET is the world's largest supplier of high quality titanium spanning every phase of the industry. We are seeking
qualified candidates for Director, Compensation and Benefits to be located in Dallas, TX.
Summary : Responsible for analyzing, developing, implementing and evaluating the administration, communication and
engagement strategies of the Corporation’s compensation and benefits programs. Manages the compensation
programs of the organization to attract, retain, and motivate employees by performing the following:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities : include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
· Develops and implements salary structure and administrative guidelines in accordance with compensation policy.
· Conducts job analysis to determine appropriate salary level according to compensation guidelines and policy formulated by human resources executive.
· Reviews, approves salary increases permitted within budgetary limits and according to established compensation policies and recommends for approval.
· Advises management on compensation actions for employees.
· Analyzes company compensation policies in relation to government wage and hour regulations, prevailing rates for similar jobs in comparable industries or geographic areas, agreements with labor unions, and recommends changes as appropriate to establish and maintain competitive rates.
· Analyzes organizational pay practices and makes recommendations for salary changes to ensure equity.
· Recommends special compensation programs or incentive systems for all employees or for specific groups to support the organization's objectives.
· Participates in development and administration of performance review system to ensure compliance with salary administration guidelines.
Supervisory Responsibilities :
Manages and supervises employees in Benefits. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Also directly supervises non-supervisory employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Education and/or Experience :
· Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university in Business Administration, Human Resources or related field.
· Minimum of 10 years experience in the management and administration of employee benefits (including health and welfare and
pension).
· Previous supervisory experience.
· Must have extensive background in a multiple site/multiple plan environment (union and non-union environments)
· Must have vast experience working within self insured organizations
· CEBS designation desirable.
· Knowledge of classification principles and job evaluation methodology.
· Knowledge of computer based compensation and benefits analysis techniques
· Previous experience with SAP highly desired
· Must possess exceptional management, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, be detail-oriented, flexible, and able to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
· Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with attention to detail.
· Skill and knowledge in the collection, analysis and determination of the relative market value and institutional application of quantitative salary and benefit survey data.
