Director, Corporate EHS

Job Summary:  Responsible for coordinating EHS functions company-wide.       Essential Duties and Responsibilities:   1. Manages corporate wide EHS and Return-To-Work programs and provides training to Plant EHS Managers, Plant HR Managers and Plant Managers. 2. Coordinates the development and implementation of EHS policies and procedures and accident prevention programs throughout Solo Cup. 3. Acts as resident expert for EHS/DOT/Fire Prevention and Protection/Industrial Hygiene and Environmental issues consulting with plant EHS Managers. 4. Develops, communicates and implements all required and needed safety programs, 5. Tracks, measures, reports, provide analysis and action plans of safety results monthly, quarterly and annually. 6. Provides notice of all Governmental Compliance regulations/requirements and changes to plant EHS Managers.  Provides Governmental Compliance programs to plant EHS Managers to be developed based on local needs. 7. Drives safety audits at all locations and follows up with plants on progress of recommendations and action plans. 8. Provides a proactive approach, including training, to accident prevention and environmental compliance.    Job Requirements: BS/BA degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene or related field.  Seven – ten years experience in Occupational Safety management.  Knowledge in recognition, evaluation and control of workplace safety hazards.  Strong working knowledge of OHSA, NIOSH and NFPA regulations and standards.  Proficient user in Microsoft Office Suite.  Excellent communication, organizational and managerial skills.
