Job Description:

Essential Functions:

·  Directs the activities and helps to prioritize the responsibilities of outside sales force.

·  Develops, plans, organizes and conducts sales training programs, seminars, and conferences for sales force.

·  Develops and implements new and existing sales training material, policies and procedures; reviews, evaluates and modifies existing and proposed programs.

·  Creates and analyzes targeted sales objectives, including sales growth, promotional successes and territory goals for the sales force.

·  Develops higher skill level in the sales force through strong communication and presentation skills and through the ability to identify and affect changes in areas needing improvement.

·  Interfaces with Marketing and Sales management to assist with application and modification of marketing and sales goals. Ensures proper training on current and new products and promotional tools that contribute towards product sell through.

·  High level of verbal and written communication skills required in working with company employees, sales representatives, and retailers. Directs monthly teleconferences with sales force to address sales skill development, new products, retailer challenges and industry trends.
Additional Responsibilities:

·  Develops and stresses the importance of teamwork among inside and outside sales team in order to attain sales objectives.

·  Requires travel

·  May direct the work of inside sales support employees.

·  Support of and involvement in company, department, and/or safety policies, procedures, programs and activities.

·  Maintain a clean and orderly work area.

Job Qualifications:

·  Master’s of Business Administration degree (MBA) with an emphasis in Marketing/Sales and a minimum of five years related experience and/or training. Sales training experience in the natural products, healthfood industry preferred.

·  Ability to create, analyze, and interpret reports and to write business correspondence and procedural manuals. Ability to effectively present information both written and oral and to respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

·  Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, profit margins, commissions, and percentages.

·  Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exits. Strong analytical skills a must.

·  Ability to interpret and act upon a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form with limited supervision.

Physical Requirements:

·  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, talk and hear.

·  Employee must exert up to 30 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 lbs. of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.

·  Specific vision abilities required by this job include near acuity, far acuity, depth perception, accommodation, color vision, and field of vision.
