ResponsibilitiesIn the role of Director, Global Brand Management, Sports Medicine & Orthobiologics this individual will assume leadership of the Sports Medicine & Orthobiologics Strategic Plan and for implementing the Brand Management activities that support the Strategic Plan. Certain brand activities will cross business segment boundaries requiring significant coordination with other business segments. Specific responsibilities include:  Set a successful direction by updating the Strategic Plan and then conveying a sense of urgency to all concerned in order to implement the plan. Establish and grow relevant relationships with key representatives from major institutions, leading sports orthopaedic surgeons and consultants worldwide. Represent Zimmer in front of the medical community and orthopedic professionals. Develop and execute the Sports Medicine & Orthobiologics segment plan to meet Zimmer sales and profit objectives and optimize market opportunities based on recommendations from regional sales and marketing and the strategic direction of the Operating Committee. Work closely with key Zimmer stakeholders in Warsaw, Austin, and globally to Successfully commercialize DeNovo NT Successfully develop and commercialize Chondrofix Manage all brand management responsibilities associated with DeNovo ET Work with Health Economics to implement a successful reimbursement strategy Coordinate the biologics strategy across business segments to help set product development and business development priorities. Build on existing core competencies to generate new product concepts/business opportunities and complete business cases for them Direct review of markets and products to identify promising opportunities to augment Zimmer’s product portfolio Develop/maintain extensive knowledge of the medical device industry and its competitors including their strategy discovery, product pipeline, R&D and marketing. Encourage and support collaboration across departments and take actions that are best for Zimmer versus individual business units or departments. Develop/maintain product line technical expertise and contacts with key surgeons and customers by observing surgery, attending medical/scientific meetings, presentations and seminars while gathering competitive information.Education: BachelorsJob Level: 8 - 10 yearsPercent Travel: 21-30%
